Patrias is heavy metal band from Smederevo, Serbia, formed in 2005 as Patria (fatherland in Latin). After realising that there are at least three more bands with same name around the world, in 2013 band members decided to add „S“ to name, to make a difference. That’s how band became Patrias, which means PATRIA(from)S(erbia).

After many problems with members, Patrias got first full crew in fall 2013: Nemanja Plazinic - Rocky (vocal), Darius Dejanovic - Daki (guitar), Nenad Djordjevic - Shone (drums) and Sasha Djordjevic - Eddie (bass). Daki and Eddie are composers, and Eddie is also a lyricst.
From the very beggining, band started with creating its own songs. Guys wanted and tried to be original, to make their own sound, hard and tight music with understandible vocal and unusual arrangements.

In November 2013, band started recording first album in Serbian language, at „Paradox“ studio in its hometown, with recorder and producer Srdjan Brankovic. Recording was finished in January 2014. Guys named album „Put“ (The Road) and it has eight songs. Serbian publisher Miner Records published album on CD in October 2014. After that, band promoted album and played all over Serbia.

After two years in Patrias, Rocky had to leave the band in the beggining of 2016. Since then, Eddie took singer’s role, so the band is now a trio. Guys are finishing a second album in Serbian in the same studio.

The music style of this band is mixed heavy metal, it can’t be put in some specified metal genre. In their sound listener can hear many influences, from old school heavy metal, thrash and doom to death metal, combined with strong vocal. These guys believe that they have something for any metal fan, and even for those who don’t really like heavy metal.

Patrias plans to record an album in English language, acoustic album and instrumental album in next couple years.
